Position Summary
Virtuous Software is looking for a Customer Account Manager to join its growing Commercial Account Management team. Virtuous is the nonprofit CRM and Marketing Automation system helping nonprofits raise more money and do more good in the world. If hired, you will be joining the founding account management team at one of Phoenix’s fastest-growing tech startups. You will work in our downtown Phoenix office if local in Arizona and report to our Manager of Account Management.
You’ll also work closely with teams across the company including Marketing, Sales, and Revenue Enablement to help maximize our growth. Your responsibilities will include supporting customers in strengthening their donor relationships, selling upgrades and add-ons to our current customers, and working on renewals of annual contracts. As the primary contact for organizations you oversee, you will contribute to the long-term revenue and profit growth of Virtuous, deepen and support relationships with nonprofits of various sizes and missions, and collaborate for continual improvement in processes and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for your accounts from the time they are live in their Virtuous database through the longevity of their relationship with our team
  • Use your skills and talents to sell other products to current customers
  • Facilitate and sell annual renewals when customers' contracts come due
  • Close renewal and upsell deals to meet quarterly quotas for annual recurring revenue and retention
  • Perform Executive Business Reviews with customers to identify areas of opportunity and growth and proactively address any at-risk customers to prevent churn
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing team members on a strategic sales approach
  • Perform high-quality and personalized outbound calls and emails to deepen customer partnerships
  • Work closely with the additional Customer Success teams, including Onboarding and Technical Support, to both support current customers and understand potential sales chances and outreach opportunities
  • Hold intelligent and engaging conversations with current customers, partners, and potential prospects and provide exceptional customer service
  • Handle any feedback from customers with positivity, compassion and care while providing reassurance and closing the feedback loop with the appropriate Virtuous team members
  • Act as a subject matter expert in our product and services to both discuss and demonstrate
  • Identify key players, research and obtain business requirements, and present solutions to begin expansion and renewal cycles
  • Use professionalism in phone, email, chat, or any other internal or external communication
  • Continually work to improve oneself both personally and professionally
  • Embody and uphold Virtuous culture both internally and externally
  • Other duties as needed

Requirements

  • Be coachable with the ability to learn and apply new concepts quickly
  • Metrics oriented with a competitive attitude
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment where you equally work independently and collaboratively- the ability to juggle multiple processes and prioritize daily is a must
  • Think critically about what is best for the customer and what is best for Virtuous while always leading with a genuine desire to help
  • Experience in the nonprofit sector and understanding of how nonprofits work and fundraise
  • Experience working with CRMs, email marketing, and other cloud software
  • Prior customer service experience
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of sales and ideally B2B SaaS sales is a plus
