Position Summary
We're looking for a Strategic Account Executive to join our growing team! If hired you will be joining a leading company in the nonprofit CRM SaaS space recognized by Inc 5000 and as an Inc Best Workplace. Virtuous as a product is a responsive fundraising platform helping nonprofits raise more money and do more good. In this role, you will use inbound and outbound sales techniques to sell complex cloud-based software to large and medium-sized nonprofits.
Members of this team report directly to the Manager of Strategic Sales and will work closely with the marketing, BDR, and Partner team to help maximize our growth. Your responsibilities will include using consultative selling techniques to sell CRM solutions, building a list of potential Virtuous customers, assisting in inbound marketing efforts, contract/proposal creation, and demoing the software.
Preference will be given to candidates who reside within commuting distance of our office locations in Phoenix, AZ or Plano, TX. Our offices follow a hybrid work arrangement, allowing employees to work from the comfort of their homes two days a week. For the right candidates, remote work will be considered.
Responsibilities
Find prospects and quickly establish credibility and relationships with nonprofits
Drive approximately 50% of your own pipeline with the balance coming from inbound leads, BDR outbound and the Virtuous Partner network
Leveraging your knowledge of the nonprofit fundraising space and quickly become an expert on the common software needs and pain points of nonprofit organizations
You will be a subject matter expert in your assigned verticals
Perform online and live demonstrations of the software and services
Help build the overall culture and brand value of Virtuous by collaborating with our internal team and continuously looking for innovative ways to grow the company.
You Must Have
At least 5 years of sales experience with proven success as a top performer and upward mobility within the SaaS space (preferably CRMs, email marketing, and other relevant cloud software)
Ability to develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy designed to meet and exceed revenue targets, expand market share, and drive business growth
Must be able to consult on the typical integrations and technical requirements and provide recommendations.
Proficiency in navigating through intricate organizational frameworks, managing extended sales processes, and engaging with various stakeholders in decision-making
Expert sales acumen including prospecting, negotiating and closing deals.
Mastery of the entire sales process from various supporting roles and perspectives.
Demonstrates a strong sense of responsibility and dedication to completing activities necessary with diligence and commitment
Great at prioritizing - Knows how and where to spend their time and blocks calendar accordingly
Relentless and competitive, you love to win

Strong experience in sales B2B SaaS sales
Amazing communicator with the ability to make complex topics easy to understand
Knowledge of technology, and the ability to do your own software demos
