This Internal Finance & Operations role is critical to our organization’s present and future, advancing the operational, financial, and systems infrastructure that our growing team needs. As a $7m/year nonprofit which includes $1m in earned income from events & programs, 18 team members, a hybrid workforce (half in NYC, half in other states in the US), and a globally-oriented future, we’re looking for someone who is both experienced in and motivated by empowering a team and organization from behind the scenes – creating and enabling a great place to work through operational simplicity, financial clarity, and systems and tool drive efficiencies. This role will inherit many previously implemented systems at a tech-forward nonprofit: we use Gusto for payroll and benefits, Airtable and Asana for team workflows and forecasting, Zapier for data transfer across systems, Jitasa for bookkeeping, Ramp for expense management, and the standard Google Suite for budgeting (cash flows, multi-year budgets, etc).
