Justice Rising exists to transform communities affected by conflict through the power of education. Children living in war zones want to grow up in safe, healthy communities. Education is a key to mitigating future conflict, but war zones lack the political will, economic resources, and parental backing to support schools. We build and operate schools, train teachers, and support students in war zones, breaking the cycle of violence and allowing children to thrive in a culture of peace. Justice Rising currently serves 2,000 students and their families across 14 schools in the North Kivu province of the Democratic Republic of Congo and employs more than 100 teachers and staff.
