Trauma Therapist
Immerse Arkansas
Have at least a master's degree in a social service-related field.
Must be licensed to practice in the state of Arkansas (LMSW, LCSW, LAC, LPC, etc).
Must understand human development, trauma, and the process of healing for those with trauma.
Preference is given to candidates who have specific trauma training or certifications.
Must have a track record of creativity in providing therapeutic intervention.
Strong visionary and implementation skills. Able to see something not yet created and know how to make something happen.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking skills.
Strong people skills. Able to form effective working relationships with a wide range of people.
Has a strong desire to walk with youth ages 14-24 no matter what they are going through.
Is “hungry” to see youth heal.
Wants to do “whatever it takes” to see youth and families succeed.
Is emotionally humble and smart- has a high emotional intelligence.
Sees their work as worship and has a growing relationship with Jesus.
Have experience working with homeless transitional-age youth.
Must demonstrate a commitment to the value of cultural competency.
Must be able to lift 35 pounds.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Must be willing and able to travel within the assigned region on a daily basis.
Must successfully complete a background check and drug screen.
Must maintain current certification in CPR, First Aid, and other certifications as determined by the program.
