The finance assistant will support the accounting operations team by processing staff expense reports and donation deposits and completing month-end accounting tasks. This role is responsible for ensuring that the data entered into the accounting software is accurate and timely. He/she will also help to ensure general efficiency of the department.

Responsibilities
- To promote and fulfill the mission and vision of HOPE International
- Expenses, Deposits and Donations Entries
- Review staff expense out of pocket reimbursements, credit card expenses, follow approval workflows, ensure compliance to HOPE policies and reconcile data to NetSuite
- Support accounts payable processes, as needed
- Ensure that proper documentation and approvals for expenses are maintained in preparation for HOPE’s annual audit
- Deposit check batches into the bank
- Record the donations and other deposits in accounting software
- Other Key Responsibilities
- Support preparation and distribution of annual 1099s in accordance with IRS guidelines
- Prepare audit workpapers
- Provide user support and user administration for Ramp
- Assist Donor Care Specialist with donor database maintenance and receipting. Assist with reconciliations between donation records and accounting records. Assist with year-end tax receipt letter project
- Undertake special projects as designated by the manager of accounting operations
Qualifications
- Personal confession of Christian faith and commitment to the mission and vision of HOPE International.
- Strong organizational skills;
- Accounting knowledge or experience preferred;
- Strong attention to detail, maintaining efficient processes and timelines;
- Experience in NetSuite and Ramp preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook required;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization;
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a similar field of study preferred;
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
