As a Christ-centered organization, HOPE International seeks to bear witness to Christ and His Kingdom through who we are, how we work, and how we serve the church. The spiritual integration team at HOPE is responsible for providing strategic direction, guidance, and coordination of HOPE’s efforts to integrate an intentional witness into every aspect of our culture at work. The spiritual formation manager will support the organization to develop and faithfully pursue strategies for intentional witness through our staff culture and practices. The role will require collaboration with senior leaders within HOPE’s Central Service Unit (CSU) and HOPE’s managed program leaders to nurture a culture of discipleship within the HOPE network.

Responsibilities


  • Leadership
  • Promote and fulfill the mission and vision of HOPE International through his/her words, actions and initiatives
  • Model servant leadership and holistic staff development in the work environment
  • Serve and collaborate with senior leaders within HOPE’s Central Service Unit (CSU) and HOPE-managed program leaders on how to bear witness to Christ and His Kingdom through who we are and safeguarding HOPE’s commitment to Christ-centeredness and Gospel proclamation
  • Spiritual formation strategy and implementation
  • In collaboration with spiritual integration staff, manage and update spiritual formation rhythms for CSU staff to study and apply the Word together
  • Build an environment of spiritual community among staff through HOPE Connect groups and other approaches
  • Manage and update rhythms that support global connection and formation among staff including “faith in practice” and other global staff devotions
  • In collaboration with the CSU-SI team, lead the contextualization and global rollout of the Kingdom Witness Guide
  • Provide spiritual support, guidance, prayer, and care to CSU staff
  • Engage and collaborate with CSU-SI team members on key areas of spiritual formation to solicit support, input and insights
  • Serve and collaborate with SI-SG advisor and SI-MFI manager by helping them design spiritual formation strategies an models for their specific contexts to align with our SI framework
  • Promote lateral learning among our global SI managers on spiritual formation and other stakeholders in best practices for discipleship of staff and clients
  • General
  • Research, learn and stay current in the fields of spiritual formation, microfinance, development and missiology
  • Provide strategic support for the Director of Spiritual Integration on key initiatives or innovations to advance the SI-team objectives
  • Manage other specific projects or duties as assigned by the Director of Spiritual Integration
  • Travel as needed (up to 75 nights per year) to the countries where HOPE operates

Qualifications


  • Personal confession of Christian faith and commitment to the mission and vision of HOPE International
  • Experience and passion for spiritual formation and disciple making in a workplace setting
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize relationships when accomplishing tasks
  • Demonstrated servant leadership
  • Highly developed implementation skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, including effective time management and prioritization of competing demands/multiple deadlines
  • Ability to conduct high-level research and think strategically
  • Ability to handle fast paced and dynamic work environment
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently
  • Ability to connect confidently with a variety of stakeholders
  • Ability and experience in effective cross-cultural communication and collaboration
  • Foreign language skills preferred
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in biblical studies, economics, business, or a related field
  • Understanding of and experience in Christ-centered savings groups, microfinance institutions, international development and missions preferred
