Role Description

The regional representative is responsible to serve as a regional extension and ambassador of Homes for HOPE in his/her region. S/he will be responsible to increase, strengthen, and diversify Home for HOPE’s funding sources throughout the building industry in the eastern US and will be expected to meet annual fundraising goals. This is an entrepreneurial position. To succeed, the candidate must be an internally-compelled self-starter who is willing and able to take initiative in establishing a long-term, vibrant, and engaged constituency of Homes for HOPE supporters in his/her region.

Responsibilities


  • Have at least 200 externally facing interactions (emails, calls, text messages, meetings, events) monthly and document them in HOPE’s database
  • Retain 85% of major donors and 65% of other relationships in the region
  • Grow giving by $2,000,000 within two years from new and inherited donors
  • Manage up to 250 donor relationships in the region
  • Develop and cultivate a base of at least 10 highly engaged stakeholders within two years
  • Participate in quarterly Homes for HOPE board meetings and recruit one new board member within two years
  • Plan or coordinate Homes for HOPE project-related events with building industry partners across the Eastern US
  • Facilitate meetings and introductions of high-impact supporters with HOPE’s senior leadership
  • Recruit staff, interns, and volunteers to work with HOPE domestically and abroad
  • Invest in and help develop partnerships in conjunction with HOPE’s giving product owners
  • Engage manufacturers and suppliers in Homes for HOPE’s mission/projects
  • Mobilize and accompany donors to visit HOPE programs abroad
  • Attend weekly development team meetings, staff meetings, prayer times, and devotions via conference call
  • Conceptualize and execute new strategies to engage partners and grow revenue
  • Proficiently manage and input data into our CRM system to ensure accurate and up-to-date records

Qualifications


  • Personal confession of faith in Jesus Christ and commitment to the mission and vision of Homes for HOPE and HOPE International
  • Passionate commitment to HOPE’s mission of Christ-centered economic development
  • Demonstrated lifestyle of Christ-like humility, compassion and generosity with time, talents and treasure
  • Passionate about sharing the mission of HOPE
  • 3+ years of fundraising, sales, or other relevant professional experience is strongly preferred
  • Building industry experience a plus
  • Conversational Spanish a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce or comparable CRM a plus
  • Entrepreneurial spirit
  • Comfortable in a start-up environment
  • Established track record of taking initiative
  • Exhibits warmth and charm that immediately puts others at ease
  • Excellent ability to connect with people
  • Excellent oral, written, and public communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills, including effective time management and willingness to perform administrative tasks
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • International experience and cross-cultural skills helpful
  • Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally up to 50 nights per year
