At Grayscale, we value integrity, curiosity, and an entrepreneurial spirit in the people we hire. We check our egos at the door, practice mutual accountability, and strive to foster an environment where experimentation is encouraged. Sound like you? If so, keep reading. 😄
What you’ll do:
Grayscale is looking for a Product Designer to take our design to the next level. As a Product Designer, you’ll shape the evolving functionality of our hiring platform into a responsive, intuitive, and compelling user interface. You will join our growing product team and work cross-functionally to ensure products meet our customers’ needs. An ideal candidate has a demonstrated ability to expand upon existing ideas and solutions as well as explore new ones to create high-quality, user-centered visual experiences. 🙌

Here are some key functions you’ll perform in this role:

  • Collaborate directly with product and engineering to plan and execute the user experience of new application features and redesigns via wireframing
  • Create polished, functional visual designs and mockups based on written requirements
  • Conduct user research and iterate rapidly on user feedback
  • Determine the look and feel of the product through design features and aesthetics
  • Create style guides and pattern libraries to maintain brand consistency
  • Stay current on the latest UI/UX trends and best practices

Top qualities & experience we’re looking for:

  • 2+ years of interface design experience with a corresponding portfolio
  • Strong communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, changing environment with minimal direction
  • Experience with agile software development, user research and a11y
  • Experience with UX design tools like figma, sketch, photoshop, and whimsical
  • The ability to pivot quickly between ideation/innovation and quick/scrappy execution

Here’s why this opportunity is unique & exciting:

  • You’ll work directly with the founding team
  • You’ll make a huge impact in shaping how our product evolves
  • You will become part of a relaxed, high-performing culture with a supportive CEO and CTO
  • Generous PTO and parental leave
  • Our full team is ATL-based, so when it’s time to collaborate you can do that in person at the Atlanta Tech Village with the rest of the team
  • Flexible work-from-home policy
