Exile International restores rescued child soldiers and children orphaned by war, and empowers them to become leaders for peace through art-focused trauma care and holistic, rehabilitative care. Launched in response to the devastating war in Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, Exile International has provided life-changing care to over 3,500 child survivors. Youth (ages 5-22) receive the physical, emotional, and spiritual care necessary to heal the wounds of trauma. Exile empowers youth through education, discipleship, and leadership development — equipping each boy and girl to become a leader for peace. Program graduates include university students, skilled professionals, and community leaders — some of whom are now developing care programs in their own communities.
