The DCX Client Services - Home Based Staff Accountant will work as a full-time employee for a growing business based in the United States. You will get a chance to learn new skills as well as demonstrate skills you've learned in the past. You will be responsible for closely following the instructions and processes outlined by the company.

The daily tasks will vary so it will be necessary to be very flexible in this position. Other necessary characteristics of the job include having a strong attention to detail, ability to work well with co-workers, and a desire to learn new work skills.

Job Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting and Analysis:
  - Preparation and analysis of financial statements.
  - Identification of trends, variances, and areas for cost savings.

• Bookkeeping and General Ledger Maintenance:
  - Maintaining accurate financial records.
  - Managing departmental revenue and expense tracking.

• Budgeting and Forecasting:
  - Assisting in budget creation and management.
  - Providing financial projections and forecasts.

• Tax Compliance:
  - Preparing and filing tax returns.
  - Assisting with tax-related inquiries and audit documentation.

• Auditing:
  - Participating in or leading audits.
  - Implementing audit recommendations.

• Financial Strategy Support:
  - Supporting financial decision-making.
  - Preparing ad hoc financial reports.

• Cash Management:
  - Overseeing cash flow and monitoring expenses.
  - Regularly reviewing and controlling expense trends.

• Fixed Assets and Depreciation:
  - Calculating, recording, and maintaining the company’s fixed asset schedule.

• KPI Tracking and Reporting:
  - Developing a balanced scorecard for tracking KPIs.

• Software Proficiency and Integration:
  - Using advanced Excel skills for complex spreadsheets and data reports.

• Team Collaboration and Oversight:
  - Working closely with the Junior Accountant.
  - Providing guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Additional Job Requirements

• Additional certification (CPA or CMA) is a plus but not required.
