The DCX Client Services - Home-Based Pre-Production Artist will provide support to our partner through day-to-day graphic support. You will be responsible for designing mockups, vectorizing logos, and producing presentation decks from their initial concept through to their final delivery. The production artist must be very collaborative and have excellent problem-solving abilities, all while maintaining consistency and the original brand look throughout the process.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• QC proofs and print layouts for production.

• Mocks up all customer art proofs for customers per instructions from work order.

• Recreates customer artwork from a low-quality bitmap image into clean vector art.

• Adjusts artwork to print correctly and accurately according to customer order and template.

• After the initial training, the artist will work on mainly rushed orders, fielding art questions from internal employees, & helping delegate other rushed orders. These key responsibilities require the ability to multi-task.

• Taking calls from the customer occasionally.

• Learns the company's extensive product line while following the capabilities and limitations of imprint areas and printing methods.

• Maintains an effective professional working relationship with team members, other departments, and customers.

• Keep an open line of communication between supervisors and other team members.

• Answers questions for other production artists.

• Performs jobs and additional tasks as assigned by Art Manager & Supervisor.

• Continually learns, evaluates, and implements new art & design strategies.

• Work with and give direction to additional outsourced art teams.

• Helps with projects collaboratively or individually.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

• 6 months-2 years' experience in graphic design or production art

• Proficiency in Adobe programs: specifically, Illustrator, Photoshop, & Acrobat Pro, Indesign

• Knowledge of Embroidery process and familiarity with .dst files is a plus

• Experience working with adjusting artwork to print of various mediums

• Exceptional written, editing, verbal, telephone, and interpersonal communication skills
