Job Description

The DCX Client Services - Home Based Accounting Assistant will work as a full-time employee for a growing business based in the United States. You will get a chance to learn new skills as well as demonstrate skills you've learned in the past. You will be responsible for closely following the instructions and processes outlined by our client.

The daily tasks will vary so it will be necessary to be very flexible in this position. Other necessary characteristics of the job include having strong attention to detail, the ability to work well with co-workers, and a desire to learn new work skills.

An individual needs to be self-motivated, trustworthy, and highly dependable. Because we are 100% remote, we are not there to look over team members' shoulders and must be able to rely on individuals to complete tasks assigned to them in a timely manner as well as to report their time accurately so we can analyze project profitability and areas of needed improvement.

  • Proficient in the Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Role Details

  • Industry: Promotions
  • Work Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST
  • Work Days: Monday through Friday
  • Written and spoken English skills: Very Proficient
  • Salary Range: 37,500 PHP

Job Responsibilities

  • Record daily bank EFTs, credit card deposits, and Lockbox check deposits in QuickBooks, and compile the supporting pdf files to share with the home office through Google Share Drive or Dropbox.
  • Collaborate with the home office to resolve revenue receipt issues/discrepancies and ensure timely revenue recognition.
  • Record specific monthly journal entries.
  • Invoice processing to include reviewing, verifying, and submission to home office for payment.
  • Follow up with vendors if there are problems or discrepancies.
  • Classify and record designated monthly expenses from invoices and credit card receipts.
  • Assist with Expense Tracking - Monitoring and controlling company expenses by evaluating payment terms and negotiating discounts with vendors.
  • Monthly reconciliation of designated QuickBooks accounts with other medical practice software as needed.
  • Financial Reporting, Analysis and Strategy – Contribute to financial decision-making by providing insights and recommendations to management.
  • Ad hoc tasks aligned with those mentioned above

Qualifications:

  • General Accounting Principles & Prior General Ledger Accounting Experience
  • QuickBooks Accounting Software
  • Microsoft suite of products with heavy focus on Excel spreadsheets
  • Google Share Drive & DropBox
  • The Accounting Assistant will need to possess the following attributes:
  • Ability to securely handle sensitive, confidential information
  • Attention to Detail and Compilation/Transfer of Required Accounting Records
  • Digital & Physical Organization Skills
  • Written & Verbal Communication Skills (English)
  • Excellent Math & Analysis Skills
